Starring Troian Bellisario, Ashley Benson, Lucy Hale, Shay Mitchell and Sasha Pieterse, Pretty Little Liars has taken the world by storm. Following the all important reveal of "Big A" in the season six finale this summer, fans are anxiously awaiting the second half of the season which will air in January.
When the show returns in two months, there will be a time jump and the actresses who previously played eighteen year olds will now be portrayed as post college women. The main writer, Marlene King, has said that the story line will change slightly for this time jump but we will also find the answers to questions that were never answered before the "A" reveal such as the murder of Alison's mother and accomplices of "A".
The series, which is set in the fictional town of Rosewood begins one night when the queen bee of the school, Alison DiLaurentis, goes missing while on a sleepover with her best friends: Aria, Spencer, Hanna and Emily. There is no news on her whereabouts for an entire year and during that time all her friends drift apart especially when Aria moves to Iceland for the year. However when Aria returns from her year abroad, Alison's dead body is found which is meant to put an end to the year of misery and worry. But when a person who goes by the identity of "A" starts harassing the girls and threatening to expose all their secrets that only Alison knew, the girls start to question whether Alison is really dead and whether the girl in the coffin is really their best friend.
I really like this series because it draws the viewer in from the first episode. The show can be very addicting because the story line is never dull. The majority of the time when you think that you have figured out who "A" is or an accomplice of "A" you are usually wrong. The show is full of plot twists and mystery and even the actors of the show have admitted that they have no idea what is happening the majority of the time. I would definitely recommend this show to all teenagers because it is so gripping and enjoyable.
