animal farm

Picture

George Orwell (Eric Arthur Blair) was a British novelist who made criticisms of political situations through his work. Animal Farm does not disappoint in that regards. He wrote Animal Farm in August, 1945 and it reveals the history of the Soviet communism through the use of animals on a British farm.

Animal farm follows the life of British farm animals after they get rid of the farmer, Mr.Jones, it shows us how the animals are living their lives being equal to one another. The pigs must come up with a sort of law which is painted on the barn wall and every animal must follow this law on the farm. The pigs start to teach some of the smarter animals how to read and write and they set the the other animals who cannot understand the English language the motto of “Four legs good, two legs bad”. The animals work in harmony until one day  the farmer, Mr.Jones, returns causing havoc and conspiracy theories amongst the pigs on the farm…..
I really enjoyed this novella ,I’m not usually a fan of historical fiction, for a one hundred and three page novella a great story was crammed into it with major events happening on each page, I thought it was gripping and hilarious.
I would recommend this novella to everybody because it is great and very interesting.
